Organising Pay TV Connections

Pay TV can take up to two weeks to get connected. In most cases, a technician will have to visit your home to connect pay TV to your new home. 

There are two main Pay TV providers in Australia – Telstra/FOXTEL and Austar. 

How much will Pay TV cost?

The amount you will pay depends on a few things:

  • Whether or not your house already has the connection installed
  • What type of package you want to be on - more channels usually equals a higher cost
  • What type of set top box you want installed – Digital, HD, recording, etc.
  • Special offers – Free installation, discounts on monthly fees

The installation cost may depend on which area your new home is in and whether it has access to cables, or whether a satellite dish will need to be installed.
